Not too bad for Denzel Washington's directorial debut
A Journal For Jordan is a 2021 biopic based on the true story of First Sergeant Charles Monroe King, a soldier deployed to Iraq who begins to keep a journal of love and advice for his infant son, however tragedy strikes as he got killed by a bomb in 2006.

Micheal B Jordan plays Charles Monroe King, who meets a senior New York Times editor named Dana Canedy (Chantè Adams) with romance blossoming between the two.

From there the film is told from flashbacks as Charles gets killed with a bomb while in a car in 2006. Overall it was a good flick. Micheal B Jordan was good in this film along with Chantè Adams. I guess the only complaint is that the film somewhat drags as its on for 2 hours and 11minutes.

    A Captivating and Touching Story
I enjoyed this movie so much, (after watching it for the first time a few months ago), I watched it everytime it's on Starz. I always see and learn something different. I wanted to know and learn more so I purchased the book - the book with the original cover with the military tag. Dana, thank you for sharing your story, it is indeed a story of "love and honor".
