    Just Meh
There were certain aspects of this film that held my attention. The acting was good, but the storyline lost me almost automatically. There was a whole lot of build up that didn't really pay off.

So Adam seems to have a lot of pent up anger against Lucas. Not sure why. Don't know that I care. Adam comes across as someone with no backbone so am I supposed to feel fulfilled when he shoots the guy at the end? Nope. I felt nothing.

This film had so much potential: A storyline overalll that could have taken us somewhere if it had made sense, decent acting, and a beautiful setting.....but it fell short for me. I am going to have to go read synopsis posts to try to grasp what the heck I just watched!

    home invasion film
Lucas (Tom Cullen) is promoting Gateway properties, homes on the Wickes farm and next to the druid Gaeta stone. Director Adam (Iwan Rheon) and his partner Eva (Catalina Sandino Moreno) are the first to move in. She is installing a stone replica for the properties and is eager to start a family. He is uncertain. Lucas and his girlfriend Chloe (Inès Spiridonov) arrives to dine with their couple friends.

The foursome holds some interest, but it does stall from time to time. It becomes a standard home invasion horror movie. They've got the weird invaders with weird masks for unknown reasons. It's pretty standard. The reveal is not that compelling. There are a couple of moments when the movie could take it up a notch, but doesn't go there. Adam is being a P which is unlike most directors. They are usually commanding people who are leaders of a big crew. This movie is unable to take the material to the next level.
