    Poorly written stereotypes
This was one of the worst films I've seen in a while. The writers used every stereotype in the genre. Despite the main character making everything stupid move possible, with no real evidence, he tracks down his missing wife. He stumbles through an organized crime (low level) killing everyone without getting shot him self and at the last miraculously stumbles across his wife tied up in a storage building. No real build up or resolution. Plenty of red herrings with no follow up, No real character development. The viewer has no reason to feel anything about any of the people involved, good or bad.

    Such a disappointing ending
I'm so irrationally mad about this ending and I think it's because it had me believing it would be different than other action movies. But nope, same old boring movie tropes. This movie really could've been great if the writers had just committed to the premise. Nobody in this day and age needs the fairytale "white knight" ending where the hero LITERALLY carries the girl out of a burning (meth) building. The first 20 minutes at the gas station where he's looking for his missing wife were so intense and real that I had high hopes for a Gerard Butler action movie. Like, I felt his panic. But then it just took a Hollywood nosedive. The ending is so BORING and predictable. Oh, the "hero" husband is the only one to hear his missing wife's screams? Really? When there's dozens of police searching the compound for her? Sure. Because this is the early 2000's for movie tropes still. If she was actually found dead in the shallow grave I would've been shocked and interested. But nope, she had to have been rescued at the last minute like always and it's so predictable and not interesting at all. Please do better, Hollywood. No one wants this type of movie anymore.
