Good movie to make fun of
Madam Web was deceiving because it propped itself up to be a Marvel movie but didn't have the chops to back it up. Dakota Johnson's performance fell flat and her line delivery was awkward at best. The young girls coming together felt forced and not realistic as well. The worst part of all was that the main villain's lines were all dubbed over for a questionable reason. Any movie that relies on flashbacks to tell a story should have done a better job at setting the plot up from the beginning, and there were a plethora of flashbacks in this movie. Are the bad reviews a psyop?
I'm actually surprised at the dislike of this movie.
The last few years have been a heap of garbage in the film industry (with some notable exceptions, of course). I won't get into the reliance on CGI and the problems with the industry as a whole.
What I will say is this is my favorite depiction of premonitions I've seen to date. It feels very Rick and Morty in a certain way.
Forgive the honestly truly horrendous vocal mixing of the main villain, he really isn't the point. And that's a huge problem in a lot of hero films these days. This one connects in a way I think people are missing.
Madame Webb indeed.
