    The best modern Sci-Fi yet
Dune (2021) is an absolutely stunning and engaging film that takes the viewer on a journey to a futuristic world full of intrigue, conflict, and wonder. The actors are excellent and bring the complex characters to life in a convincing way. The special effects are impressive and add an extra dimension to the film.

The story of Dune is excellent and keeps the viewer captivated from start to finish. The world created in the book is unique and fascinating, with a wealth of cultures, customs, and histories. The themes of the film, such as colonialism, identity, and power dynamics, are timely and stay with the viewer after the film has ended.

The cast of the movie has been carrefully selected with names like Timothée Chamelet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac and Stellan Skarsgård. All actors capable of speaking more than 1 languege wich creates better sounding and more immersing characters.

The movie does a realy good job into telling the power struggles of the houses under the kingdom. All the while the houses and the kingdom turn hostile towards the main protagonist.

The only negative aspects i can think of is that the film doesnt work well as a standalone as it only covers the first half of the book. I realy hope that there comes a part two!

Game of Thrones meets Lawerence of Arabia, in space, on drugs.
This movie is rad. Denis Villenueve kinda killed it with this one. As a fan of the book and his filmography I trust him completely to adapt this material. I do urge viewers who are going in to this flick without much familiarity, to acknowledge that this is very much a Part 1. It may feel like there is no real resolution but you can't do DUNE in one movie, you just can't. This story needs time to be as fleshed put as it can be.

On another note if you want more from this world and it's ideas, I strongly recommend reading the book by Frank Herbert. The films will unfortunately never be able to capture the writing's depth, complexity, and minutiae. After all they face the daunting task of selling tickets to current audiences.
