a cliqued anime meant to satisfy Japanese purists
A cliqued anime meant to satify purists. Defirntely not in the ame league as classics such as Vampire Hunter... Watched it with high expectations but ended up as an just an average outing, simple did not give me the vibes of Vampire hunter There is nothing groundbreaking in the story nor the art . The only saving grace is some decent voice acting The first half tries to set the mood for a demonic atmosphere but fails to to do so. Tere is not enough action inthe scond half and most of of the action scenes are uninspiring .The style of drawing is is classic anime with overly bright scenes with non detailed backgrounds simply ruins the expereince and run contary to the theme of film. Overall watchable if u have nothing else to atch. However will not retun back for a second viewing,

    It's bad!
Even a spin-off must be rooted in the source material. This one is not. What's worse even as a completely separate entity it's still trash since it lacks inner logic. There are some good aspects of the film but they do not redeem the flaws. Witcher fans deserve much better.
