    Inspirational
This is a very inspirational movie. Not everyone is into the religious aspects of the film, but even those who are not will be impressed by the obstacles George Foreman overcame, both in the ring and out. However, for people of faith I think this movie holds a special message. Sometimes we put God in a box. We don't think of him working through a man who made a living by knocking people senseless. Even George Foreman himself thought his boxing days were over when he found God. But the Bible is full of individuals who were tough and used that toughness in service to God, and George did his thing again when he had to. In the process he won the championship again and became the oldest man to do so. But his second career as a boxer was different because he viewed boxing as a sport with rules and not as an outlet for the rage that built up within him as a young man. In other words, he viewed boxing from a Christian perspective, just as he had come to view life from a Christian perspective. There's not too much to quibble about in the movie, except that the actor playing Howard Cosell was a little over the top. But then the real Howard was also sort of over the top. Overall, a highly recommended film.

Dull biographical sports drama that is uneven.
    2.5 out of 5 stars.

Big George Foreman is a pretty bad biographical sports drama film that is about Foremans life. From his struggle with his family living in poor and him getting into fights at school. To getting noticed by a boxing trainer that he has talent in fighting.

The first half of the film is dull. The script rushes with the dramatic story. Its uneven. The boxing sequences were okay. The acting is a bit forgettable. The second half of the film tone feels so different which is focusing on George's post heatstroke and him preaching and becoming religious. Quitting boxing. Meeting a woman he falls in love with. Trying to be a better person. While needing to raise money for his rec center.

It is a forgettable film with an uneven direction and the boxing sequences didnt felt inspiring or emotional.
