    Could have been excellent
This movie really only has one hole in it; unfortunately, it's a hole big enough to drive a car (or stagecoach) through. About halfway or maybe two thirds the way through, the movie script foreshadows the big twist ending. Foreshadowing needs to be subtle and in this scene, in this movie, the foreshadowing is anything but subtle. The ending is completely given away! No surprise ending despite the fact the rest of the movie sets up the surprise ending beautifully. Too bad because otherwise this movie is really quite good. They should rerelease this movie and edit out the part where they give away the big ending.

    Almost perfect. Almost...
Had they chosen a different actor to play Wyatt and fix his script, it would have been a masterpiece. His character is out of place. He is annoying. His whining to his father is too modern. It's like watching a teen drama. I don't think teens in those times disrespect their fathers like that.

I am still giving it a 10 for Tim Blake Nelson's superb performance.
