Uplifting marginalized members by stepping on others
Despite the good intentions of the movie, the movie itself (and the director) came across as a hypocrite.

You see, the uplifting of the marginalized members of the society (people of color, gender minorities, those who are less fortunate) takes place while marginalizing asians.

If you watch carefully, there are a few asian students in the movie (their appearances are brief) and they all play caricatured roles, who are either pushed around by other characters or they are there purely for comic effects.

All together, this results in a world view where asians will stay quiet and not fight back. I guess nothing has changed in the past 30+ years with american high school movies..

We miss you Sarah Michelle Gelar!
Well, honestly, im really happy to see Sarah Michelle Gellar there. I know, i know she is not the main actress but i miss her acting in movie. And, she still pretty, her voice still same. I like her tone. I wish she play in a new movie like neve campbell who play again in Scream 2022. Maybe the sequel of Buffy the vampire slayer? She could play as mother who has a daughter who become the new slayer.

I mean, Scream 2022 got a lot of supporter and people love neve campbell there. So, it will be awesome if they put a millenial young actress as the new buffy while Sarah will be the tutor who teach her everything about how to kill vampire.
