    DC animation
It's WWII. The Nazis have found various magical artifacts and the American government recruits the Justice Society led by Wonder Woman to battle them. Meanwhile in the present day, Superman and Flash are battling Brainiac. The Flash accelerates to catch a kyptonite bullet and travels back to the past in France where he joins Wonder Woman's team of superheroes.

The story is good. It's great to see this team. Initially, I was expecting Indiana Jones, but it leans more warlike. The biggest surprise is that the big battle isn't against the Nazis. That part comes out of left field. I may prefer the Nazis.

    Underrated
Another great entry in the dc animated universe that makes the world started in Man of Tomorrow grow right with the multiverse. Being set in the superheroes who work for America in an alternate universe's 1940s there were some choices that would have been a bad thing in another film but they've managed to include enough in it to make it feel that the problems are actually just acknowledgement of that time and even with those they managed to do a lot of things much better than expected.

Usually, the dc animated films follow a certain style of animation and even when they tweak the style now and then depending on the context of the story they are telling, they follow a safe used and proven route which is often very plain in its choices even if not necessarily bad. That's why I was a bit surprised by the animation in this film. Initially, it looked like the usual formula with the small tweaks that I didn't think was necessarily any better. But then I started noticing the changes they have made from a cinematographical perspective. The scenes compositions and blocking is given much more importance than what is usually seen in these films. Due to that even with their usually followed animation style the story and the action felt much more kinetic. Especially the action scenes featuring Wonder Woman was immensely better with the way they chose to portray her fighting style along with this focus on using the dop.
