    Predictable and boring
This movie was incredibly bad, even for bad horror movie standards. It just set the bar extremely low when it comes to predictability. Every supposed 'scare' you could see coming from a mile away. It was filled up to the brim with cheap jump scares and contained every horror trope in the book, all of which were executed really poorly. The 'humor' was misplaced and mistimed, the characters lacked any depth or backstory, making it incredibly hard to be emotionally involved. The main character had a backstory but it was so simple that a toddler could've written it better. The story was paper thin and some of the characters were only present to provide exposition in their dialogue. The exposition was just annoying and over the top. On top of that the movie suffered from Deus Ex Machina all the time.

Sure, it's a 'slasher' type of film which isn't meant to be taken to seriously, but if my friends would become fodder for a shapeshifting demon I would be pissing my pants and bawling my eyes out. The characters didn't convey any emotional attachment to each other and all of the so called friends were no more than empty shells for the demon to feed on. You would hope the shapeshifting monster design would be interesting to look at, but even these were a dime in a dozen.

All in all, this is a poorly executed money grab that should not have existed in the first place. How people keep lending themselves for such visionless projects is beyond me.

    Clever concept ruined
I really tried to give this movie a fair shot but was disappointed. Great concept that could have been so much better than it was. The movie has a forced plot filled with bad writing, bad acting, and bad music. By bad music I mean poorly chosen and completely out of place to the extent that it ruined the mood, namely the opening credits and the beginning of the reading scene. The monster scenes should have been longer, but instead they were quick and lacked an kind of scare or jump factor. Very disappointing as the monsters could have bumped this up dramatically. All in all it's pretty much a series of cliché scenes & concepts from good horror movies based around a boring rip off of Final Destination.
