A road trip adventure through the world of Trolls.
Trolls Band Together, the latest installment in DreamWorks' vibrant and musical franchise, offers a colorful and entertaining experience that, while not groundbreaking, will likely satisfy kids and adults or older kids will find it watchable at best. Directed by Walt Dohrn and David P. Smith, the film continues the Trolls' tradition of catchy tunes, dazzling visuals, and positive messages, with a few shortcomings. I definitely a worth addition to the TCU (Trolls Cinematic Universe)

The positives are that the animation is pleasant as always, with the trolls looking cute and somatic and seeming easy to make and draw. Also, the performances are surprised great, especially from Justin Timberlake as Branch and Anna Kendrick as Poppy. Finally, the music is catchy and definitely can be an earworm at times, especially Velvet and Veneer songs.

The negatives would be that the story is generic, the villains don't get as much screen time as I wanted them to, and the writing is sloppy, with new characters getting introduced out of nowhere. Finally, some jokes aren't funny, but I'm not surprised since it's a kids movie and most jokes in kids movies are low-brow humor.

Trolls Band Together is an okay addition to the Trolls series, delivering the fun, music, and colorful visuals that kids will enjoy. However it doesn't break new ground or offer much for adult viewers who will get dragged along to see it, it succeeds in providing an entertaining movie for children. The film's positive messages and feel-good vibe make it a worthwhile watch for families looking for a light-hearted, musical movie night.
