Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile

When the Primm family moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle - a singing crocodile who loves baths, caviar and great music-living in the attic of his new home. The two become fast friends, but when Lyle’s existence is threatened by evil neighbor Mr. Grumps, the Primm’s must band together with Lyle’s charismatic owner, Hector P. Valenti, to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places and there’s nothing wrong with a big singing crocodile with an even bigger personality.

    Hollywood is dead
This movie is a product of DEI culture. The filmmakers were more concerned about checking off diversity inclusion boxes rather than giving the viewer a story worth watching. Javier Bardem and Brett Gelman give solid performances but the boy is hard to watch. The overacting is laughable and cringe. Shawn Mendes was a good choice for the voice of Lyle and gives great vocals on the songs that sadly just missed the mark. All in all, this movie was garbage and I can't believe I sat through the whole thing. I can't wait for the sequel "Kyle, Kyle, Crocodile", where Lyle's cousin escapes Eddie's Exotic Animals just in time to save Lyle from signing a bad contract with Disney, and ultimately takes his cousin up on his proposal to start a boy band with Megan Fox's sons. Yes. Her sons actually awake from their mother's delusions and live their own lives wearing board shorts and puka shell necklaces. Very Alpha 💪

    Great Family Fun
    Lyle Lyle Crocodile

This was a totally charming movie from start to finish, and in the midst of all the mush there were some really powerful themes. Finding your voice, fitting in, rising through adversity and becoming the star of your own life.

It was a joy to experience an uncomplicated linear story delivered with style and panache it could have been a Disney movie of the 70's.

The music was okay and I have not come away whistling any tune but equally they all fitted the plot seamlessly.

The acting was crisp and they delivered the gags but frankly it wasn't very funny really.

I was going to give this a 7 outta 10 but I've decided on a firm 8 outta 10 because of the wonderful cat animation.
