The ending gave it the stars!
Really dislike this film. The beginning was fun until the big LIE. Apparently but obvious to some, nowadays it is more important to get more recognition and be loved on social media than the real world. This was Danni, she was an insensitive, selfish human being. So she made a friend from the support group she joined and got close to her. She got caught by her colleague and made her admit to this lie and obviously Dannie had to come clean and tell her friend.

This is when the film started to get better.

Obviously big lie like that is unforgivable (she lied she was in Paris and whilst she was apparently there, terrorist attack happened. But instead of just admitting she wasn't in the country, and because she's becoming popular, she just continued to LIE).

EVERYONE then starts hating her, she started receiving death threats and the only people who were there for her were her parents. Her one and only friend unequivocally hated her.

Thankfully the film ended there. Actually rather made up this film did not have a happy ending. Danni deserved what she got.

    Don't bother with the film!

Should Like a lot of People Here Recognized Themselves
I thought the movie had a message. If you can't see it, you might be the problem.

I use a minimal amount of social media but do understand how toxic it can get. I've had to take a break from one particular app because it went downhill very quickly from toxicity of strangers.

I'm older and was taught private is private so posting all my guts on social media wouldn't be my thing even if I were young.

Social media isn't all bad, though, it's been extremely helpful to law enforcement, especially to take seriously when someone goes missing and their social media presence suddenly stops.

But it's also a dangerous place with predators, bullying, and a whole host of awful things.

I think this does show both sides of the issue. While it dragged a bit, I struggled and watched until the end. And I hink the main character did realize what she did was wrong and why.
