What are you doing here, man?
I have seen a few of the movies to gather the gist of the story but never followed the characters which made the film a bit confusing as it assumes you know everyone in great detail as the character introduction is poor. The 1,000 year battle is happening again ahead of schedule because waiting until the year 3,000 to made a sequel is a bad marketing move. This battle is for all the marbles and to prevent a year 3,000 sequel and do it now. I will say I love real characters as opposed to animation. In fighting I discovered if you bring an automatic machine gun, you fare a lot better in a sword fight. They appeared to have killed off some major characters. Some of the dialogue was humorous and the thing I enjoyed most about the film that seemed to lack cohesion. While the battle is going on, there is a subplot of some guy that wants to destroyed all existence by having all the gem stones but he doesn't place them in a glove. The opening battle scene looked like something lifted from "The Two Towers." The language contains lower tier swear words. I did not play the video game on which this film was based. Fans may love it. Isn't Shao Kahn a god? How did he get to fight in "Mortal" Kombat?

Maybe some day they'll hire good writers
I just want one Mortal Kombat movie with good dialogue. The fights were kind of cool, but it was a little hard to listen to. They always give Jax in particular really embarrassing lines. And I was just really bored through out the movie.
