RECB3 - 10 July 2023 Victoria Justice is a Real Queenslander in this Film This film may not be an epic blockbuster, but it is enjoyable to watch. I am a fan of Victoria Justice, I love everything about her. I live in Queensland, and when I saw that this film was filmed in Queensland, I was very much intrigued and into this film. I could have had the opportunity to travel up and probably meet Victoria Justice but I did not know. Other than Victoria Justice, the only other cast member that I knew and recognized was Lucy Durack. It was nice that Victoria Justice created a film in Queensland, and to having her here in my home state is a real privilege. This film itself was fine. The storyline was great. It really brought out a part of the Queensland spirit.
Alexanders-2 - 11 October 2022 Eye candy in a bland story When it's clear right after 10 seconds that a movie is going to end well and show a life that we all secretly want but none of us actually have - chances with the attractive actors included - it's instantly about the sympathy we build up with the actors. And I admit I had little trouble with Victoria Justice, who doesn't show what Sandra Bullock would have done, but it was enough to keep me interested. Then when Adam Demos, her love interest, came into the picture, I realized that the only reason I stayed tuned was actually because the very thin storyline was already completely predictable at that point, as was the fact that he was carrying around a secret that he would be very slow to reveal. How Lola reacted to this I found completely unbelievable, but we're in a kitsch movie - Max doesn't give up, of course, and everything works out in the end. The pictures are beautiful, Australia shows its best side and in the end no one hurts anyone. Goal achieved? Almost, because both main actors are rather pale, Justice's slapstick interludes are very clumsy and even Demos can only score with his youthful charm. But what the heck - the shirt off scene was worth it ;-)
