A fantastic debut by Jennifer Esposito
FRESH KILLS, written and directed by Jennifer Esposito (who also produced and co-stars), is a vivid drama about the women of a mob family struggling to find their own identities.

Emily Bader's lead performance as Rose is both heartbreaking and soulful. She commands the screen, often with just a look.

She's surrounded by a great supporting cast who all provide a raw authenticity within the highly evocative setting of late '80s-to-late '90s Staten Island.

Jennifer Esposito has crafted a realistic and truthful depiction of the women we don't normally see in mob films. This movie is proof that you don't need a massive budget or CGI to create an entertaining and thought-provoking story. Highly recommended, and you can find it on VOD platforms now.

    AMAZING FILM! MUST WATCH!!
I wasn't sure what to expect with this film and I was blown away with how amazing it is!!! I loved all the actors, and the feel of the film, it was gritty & with plenty of tension and drama. I thought it was a unique film as I have not seen films address the women in the mob life. I enjoyed that we saw everything from Rose's point of view (daughter of mobster) because you can see how that life deeply troubled her and scared her for her future. I think her character is relatable to anyone who has had trouble speaking up for themselves because you feel like there's always a price to pay and you're not totally sure if it's worth the cost. This film addresses the psychological damage this life brings to women living this life and the difficult choices they face and it does it powerfully.
