Not as good as the first movie. Not for the very young.
I watched this movie together with my son, who is 2.5 years old. We have also watched the first movie and we liked that very much.

It's a good looking movie. Nice effects and the pups look well done. Even if it's a change from the series.

The movie is a lot more tense and exciting than the first. My son had to cry at some points. I would not recommend this movie to people who have kids less than 3 years old.

In this movie the pups get super powers. Unfortunately these powers are an excuse for lazy writing. Every time there is a twist or a cliffhanger the superpowers amount to something new and the issue is solved. Reminds me a bit of superhero movies.

The superpowers of the pups mean the movie is more spectacular than the first movie. Because of this the story falls flat. It feels shallow.

There is a scene where Humdinger becomes a giant. He goes to find the paw patrol and tries to stomp on them. Essentially he's trying to kill the pups. Doesn't seem right for a kids movie.

I didn't like the new characters either. The super villain seems off. I didn't care for the new junior patrollers.

All in all disappointing and not suitable for the very young.

    Real kids movie
Even though i shouldn't watch this movie, but here is something about it.

Finally i a movie that literallly for kids, i mean recent animatied movie like elemental that to mature imo and more like 13+ movie, and rated PG just like this movie, this movie more like a simple adventure movie with cute little dogs instead of kissing water and fire.

This movie also has simple straight up story line that very easy to understand, no complicated things and twist.

Things that don't fit with the kids started when one of the dog "let go her past" that maybe will make some kids cry, beside of that this movie is a really solid movie that really for kid.

Even the story is simple but i still asking why the story is not really having moral value, the movie also don't really fit with someone even if they 12 years old or older, it's to expectable and not really tense.

Even though this movie has mediocre story, this movie still really solid and really watchable for kids making it still recomended to watch.
