Uta — the most beloved singer in the world. Her voice, which she sings with while concealing her true identity, has been described as “otherworldly.” She will appear in public for the first time at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans — excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance — the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound.

    Goofy motivations and character development
So Uta knew all along that she was the reason why everyone was killed on the island but she still hated Shanks and still maintained all pirates are evil? Lol. And she didn't feel guilty about killing almost everyone and continued to sing? Usually, when someone unintentionally causes such catastrophe with their powers they avoid using them at all just in case. This movie had some of the most jarringly unrealistic reactions and motivations from most of the characters. Feels like the world government was the only reasonable and logical people here. Which is wild as hell to say. HOW ARE PEOPLE LIKING THIS MOVIE? Wasn't a fan of the musicals but I enjoyed the story up until the reveal. It would have been better if she didn't know at all and the demon thingy overtook her mind. Only coz of the IP I gave it 5 otherwise, it would have been a 1 star for me. I would've preferred Red to be about Shanks' past or current events coinciding with Luffy in this movie universe or wherever this takes place. It's kind of a waste if you ask me.

High paced and high review value
Surprised that other movies have higher ratings than this one, I decided to share my review.

Both story and (new) characters fit well into the OP universe. One of the more easily accessible films for OP newbies, some but not too many side characters have good side roles (a fan service which I felt overused in the previous movie). Also, the main cast hardly shines except for the opening scenes and the final battle.

On a slightly negative side, the twist were kind of predictable for fans, however may come surprising for those not too familiar with the characters.

The final battle is extremely powerful and high-paced (sometimes a little bit too much) and gives fans an idea of how the series' climax may turn out.

As a music-themed movie the movie has been carefully chosen and placed and is just great to hear. Songs fit the scenes and pace, and the singer Ado does a great job singing a wide array from aggressive to ballads to pop.

Graphics include CGs - especially for the final battle - as well as cartoonist style - for most of the songs - which is a refreshing feast for the eye.

    Music 10/10 Graphic 8/10 Story 7/10 Characters 7/10 Review value 8/10.
