scottdegville - 27 February 2024 Brilliant idea poorly executed Really looking forward to watching this film. Michael j Fox is one of my generation so wanted desperately to watch and learn more. Unfortunately the director/producer and editor seemed to want to tell the story in a different way. The continuous use of clips from films, Michael etc made for a very disappointing and eventually annoying film.
It was disjointed and visually unappealing film so much that I couldn't watch to the end.
It would have been better following the traditional format and approach in my opinion. Sorry to disappoint the fans!
Overall it was high on expectation, and poor on delivery.
lornak-18008 - 7 October 2023 Fascinating! Maybe it's my age, but Michael J. Fox was always one of my favorite actors. This is an excellent documentary about his life and his ultimate struggle with Parkinson's Disease which manifested when he was just 29. In his mind it was payback for his major success. He kept it hidden for seven years and it was no easy task. Much of this documentary was like watching my memories of him. From Family Ties(that I loved) to the 3 Back to the Future movies( that I also loved) to the television show Spin City and all the movies he made in between was discussed. We watch as his disease progresses and that was very sad to witness. Through it all we see his wonderful relationship with his wife Tracey and their 4 children. I was fascinated throughout.
