Two hours was plenty of time to give us more
I know it's Win Wenders so I was expecting odd and deliberately paced--about the time that I said to my wife, "it's interesting but something needs to actually happen", it did. But we only got fragments of what might be going on from his interactions, including one that felt like "now we're going somewhere" but left us dangling, and the myriad dreams he had basically were acceptable precisely because it is Wenders, but were essentially just however many minutes of abstract runtime that also told us very little. I am not as satisfied with a story as I could be if too much is left unanswered, and not because I simply want information, but because it better facilitates analysis of the character. He's a toilet cleaner, but we get a glimpse at one point that this was a calculatedp choice rather than one forced on him by circumstance. He lives alone but likes interaction with others well enough even though he doesn't say much. So he's purposely "leaving a lot on the table", but we aren't given anywhere near enough information to help us understand why. If I had a friend like that in real life, I would feel sorry for him and see if there were some way that I could help to get past whatever likely trauma it was that made him feel like this existence were the best one that he could have, so it's difficult for me to sit back and say, "good for him". - popysvn - 9 June 2024
If you love a lonely life
This is the great movie. The story in this, is wonderfull and so meanning full. You will not waste your time. And if you love to do a every thing alone. I think you should watch this one. I feel so much beautyfull and meaningfull. Songs, character, scene, every thing just make you feel. Is this okey if you just have a regular life. Just a normal day. The same job, same tree, same time. But different persont, different energy, so do emotional. I fine peace and calm,joy. Thank you so much for the movie. If you have time watch this movie once. I have a well dearm about old song and so do the past.
