    Extremely underrated hidden gem!
One may find different points to criticize this movie, but I think those should have led to an average score of something around 7.0. However if futuristic science fiction movies bending reality is your thing, such as Inception, Matrix, 13th Floor, eXistenZ, Dark City, Strange Days, Oblivion, etc, here is a hidden gem waiting for you! I was going to skip this due to bad ratings, but it ended up my best available option one night and I said let's go for it, how bad can it be, and when it ended I felt the anger towards the unfair rating it has which would have forever prevented me from seeing this. Just watch it without reading any spoilers.

Science Fiction with ACADEMY AWARD nominee Hugh JACKMAN
This interesting science fiction film with neo-noir elements didn't work at all in the box office last year and has now landed on the German-English-Italian streaming service WOW.

It's almost more interesting to write about the reasons for this failure than about the film itself. But that would do this film released by WARNER an injustice. Lisa Joy has created a film that takes elements from other films, but tells a love story with a philosophical touch. The strength of the film lies in the unusual atmosphere, which also benefits greatly from the music of the Iranian-German composer Ramin Djawadi (*1974) from Duisburg. The Swedish actress Rebecca Ferguson in the lead role of a femme fatale even sings two songs herself. There is still a lot to come from this woman, she improves from film to film. Great!

Hugh Jackman is still convincing as a brave "leading man" whose unclear relationship with his loyal colleague (played by the wonderful Thandiwe Newton) could have been accentuated even more. Distinctive masculine, powerful and yet vulnerable - Australian actor Hugh Jackman simply has this mixture.

Daniel Wu (Into the Badlands) and the New Zealand actor Cliff Curtis (who has been an integral part of the Hollywood universe since "The Piano" and "Once Were Warriors") also leave a lasting impression as evil rascals. In a small role there is a reunion with FalconCrest star Brett Cullen (he was on the series for two years as alleged "cop killer" Dan Fixx), who plays a super-rich Mr. Important.

Atmospheric mix between NeoNoir and SciFi that relies entirely on feeling and deserves an unbiased viewing.
