Sully Needs to Mentor this Boogeyman
The Boogeyman has a long history and many interpretation ls depending on culture. Here we have what wouldbbe considered some kind of supernatural creature or demon. It's not a ghost or paranormal, but does appear to have the ability to appear and disappear from wherever. It's drawn to families that are grieving or going through some sort of trauma, and slowly terrorizes them until consumption. I applaud the creature design, it was creepy, and for awhile I was getting a but frustrated because I wanted a real good look at it, but rest assured that look eventually comes.

The characters were good for the most part, but the dad's unwillingness to talk about his and his family's trauma even though he's therapist seemed a tad silly. I was disappointed when the teenage girlfriends didn't get eaten, at least that blonde. She deserved a terrible fate in this film and I felt robbed of that.

Almost a 7 for me, but in the end just seemed fairly average for this type of film.

The family that never turns on the lights in their home
A decent film, but the whole movie is practically set in the dark. This is the darkest house I have ever seen. Not only is it pitch black on a sunny day, they don't even turn the lights on at night. Overall a decent film, despite being hard to watch since it's like you're watching a black screen through most of the movie. Characters were well acted and the storyline was well thought out. The surround sound effects are fantastic and well mixed. The voices were quite audible and not difficult to hear. There is nothing worse than music drowning out voices in a movie. I enjoyed this film, and I'm sure most who watch it will.
