    Middle of the road
It is frustrating that this movie has biased reviews stating it is the worst thing ever made or the best thing ever made simply because of some of the messaging of the film. In reality, this movie is just average. Some of the actors are more or less fine, but that's what happens with child actors. The plot is not great, one of the major sources of conflict is more confusing than believable. Another major source of conflict just ends abruptly with no explanation as to why. There are some dialogue scenes that I couldn't imagine certain characters saying given their likely experiences. I feel like this movie could have been better if they focused more of their attention on the story than awkwardly slotting in talking points.

    Not funny.
The original was great. This has a similar storyline updated to include all of the current political norms; mixed race marriage, biracial Kids, dealing with racism, stereotypical white country-club moms. I feel like I've had a political lecture rather than watched a fun movie. Do not recommend. Would not repeat.
