    The Awakening
No (german) pun intended - no really that is the title they went for ... for the German release. Well I reckon they like to switch things up and kind of give certain things away. Not too much - but the daughter is on a journey ... living the future by dealing with the past - almost literally

Great actors (especially the dad - Mendelsohn is quite the treasure, amazing actor to say the least) all around and a movie to shine for Daisy Ridley, who may still have a long way to go, to get rid of her Star Wars shadow. I think she does an excellent job here, but you be the judge of course. The timeline thing worked (present and past), but you may feel different. And for a heroine, she may not always act like it - but then again, who did she have to learn from? Her dad - exactly! Family counts - but protecting your own skin is paramount ... which also makes one move from Ben towards the end kinda ... unbearable, but suspension of disbelief is a thing ... so there is that.

PG-13 material slapped with a Restricted rating
This movie has too many problems to be recommended. It's like watching a horror movie where the villan is too damn intelligent until the hero comes from the sky. I'm not going to talk much about it here. I recommend you look for older films like the Good Son. That movie has the same mpaa rating and another movie that should have been given a PG-13. New directors need to put in witty dialogue if you are going to put in cliché after cliche. Here's an idea. Make a surf movie where the villan before he starts to off someone say something like, surfs up, or gnarly, Or your tides up! At least find a way to be creative. Good luck if you decide to watch marsh kings daughter. You might like it. I didn't think it was good at all.
