House Party

House Party

Aspiring club promoters and best buds Damon and Kevin are barely keeping things together. Out of money, down on their luck and about to lose the roofs over their heads—and freshly fired from their low-lift jobs as house cleaners—the pair needs a huge windfall to make their problems go away. In a ‘what the hell?’ move, they decide to host the party of the year at an exclusive mansion, the site of their last cleaning job, which just happens to belong to none other than LeBron James. No permission? No problem. What could go wrong?

    Couldn't even finish it. Boring.
I usually don't write bad reviews, it takes a lot for me to not enjoy a movie let alone not be able to finish it, there was the occasional joke that made me laugh just by how stupid it was. I'm guessing LeBron James influenced this movie therefore it was horrible. Stick to basketball in future. This movie definitely had potential and i feel if given to a proper director this could of been a good story, but it lacked what every good movie needs, good acting , eye catching story and plot, entertainment, comedy, there was none. Horrible movie from the start to where I stopped watching roughly 1hr in. I wasn't even bothered not seeing the ending because I knew it would suck anyway.

    RIDICULOUS BUT GOOD ENOUGH
I understand the hate for this remake. I have never seen the original movie but judging by the quality of this film, it just wasn't funny enough for most people. However, it was the silliness that appealed most to me. The antics were funny enough. The writing was surprisingly hilarious but still awful. There were certain times throughout the film that made the entirety of it really bad but I think judging from a non-American point of view this was pretty hilarious and unpretentious. The only other ridiculous element of the film was the LeBron James's cameo. The whole cameo thing felt like he was forced into it, making it less funny.
