Quietest movie I have ever seen
I watched this because I am a Colin Ferrel fan. But this was a disappointment. It felt like an student art house movie with a side of a slow and pointless story. Overall it was a emotional, touching story of a family dealing with loss. But it was incredibly slow, with no resolution. And the over saturated diversity came off patronizing & preachy. One of the best things about the movie, it was not over stimulating, and the cinematography was enjoyable. Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but definitely not the most enjoyable either. Probably will not watch again unless, I forgot I watched it before.

Beautiful setting. Dull, redundant, self indulgent dialogues.
The move has a beautiful setting, scenes have beautiful well thought out composition, however the lighting could be improved. What is the purpose of creating a movie where your viewers cannot quite see the individual scenes?

The dialogues are drawn out, unimaginative, repetitive, and annoying.

This movie literally put me to sleep after I fought the urge to fast forward repetitive, redundant, self indulgent dialogues filled with excessive words to describe ideas, thoughts or feelings that could have been described with more lighting, music, or silence.

My significant other fell asleep also.

An overdependence on self indulgent, unedited, inconclusive dialogue between the characters abused our patience and made for an unbalanced creation. What purpose did it serve exactly?

We loved The Banshees of Inisherin with Colin Farrell, and perhaps had high hopes for After Yang a movie that not only did not connect with us but it made us fall asleep.
