Really wanted to like this film
So I'm a queer kid, and I loved the documentary and even further I'm a raging Theatre kid, watched this with my mum expecting a really catchy and fun musical with lots of representation, although I can say it was sad it kinda would've been better if it wasn't a musical but if it was a normal film it would still be awful

None of the songs are catchy they sound like they're made up as they go along and the people cannot sing at all, the Broadway was better because it was more raw and it seemed more professional. Half the words I can't make out and the others just aren't catchy. I wish they would've hired a better songwriter (not trying to throw shade at the songwriters) Every inspirational message sounds forced. Also it's so unrealistic and doesn't add up to the documentary or real life.

    Great moving entertainment
Really loved this film. A total delight from the acting, the dancing, the musical score and to the Sheffield setting. Sort of channelling film Billie Elliott and TV movie The Boy in the Dress. The joy of innocence and being true to yourself despite real challenges.
