    Depp at his finest
    Watched Minimata finally on Netflix.

Yes, finally after all these years it's out!

This is a heartbreaking, passionate tale with Johnny Depp at his finest, a movie that is going to move and unsettle who watches it. This isn't an entertaining movie. The story is about the plight of a sleepy village in Japan where innocent people contracted Minimata disease after a greedy corporation poisoned the sea waters with toxic waste and how an aging depressed American photographer Eugene Smith helped expose the scandal.

Johnny Depp is so versatile, there's not a role he can't play. Hope to see him again on screen soon.

    Loved him, loved the film.

A story that must be heard, compellingly told
If you are hesitating due to recent publicity about Johnny Depp, I urge you to overcome that prejudice and see this movie. Seeing it does not equate taking sides, and who are we to judge? Knowledge of the allegations will forever be a part of my complex image of both actors, but I'd say the best thing we can do is wish them both well as they get on with their lives and continue to appreciate their art, not take sides. I say you can be a feminist and support #MeToo and still you should see this movie, especially if you care about the environment and want to see how the salt of the earth can conquer corporate greed. Together with the actors' performances, Kathleen Jenkins singing "One Single Voice" does magnificent justice to this true story.
